Jaemy C is an emerging visual artist based in Malaysia, with a background in advertising, graphic design and production. His acclectic art style fuses the use of traditional oriental brush calligraphy, acrylic sheet manipulation, and a dose of cute-but-twisted elements - all wrapped in a sarcastic bundle of colourful visuals.
In 2021, an art collaboration with an international sports brand resulted in a massive backlash of scrutiny from the online media of Indonesia over his work.
Jaemy was subsequently cyber-bullied intensely on social media over the duration of a year.
The experience has impacted him tremendously and has since been the subject of many of his current art pieces, channeling issues regarding cyberbullying, online etiquette, the "unseen" micro-interaction of humans in general and how we function in a modern society.

A festive collaboration that brought together the 5-star brand of Hilton Hotel, as well as the artistic touch of mixed media artist, Jaemy C - producing a limited edition Moon cake pack that featured Jaemy's siganure traditional-meets-modern approach to his brush work. Visitors were also treated to a showcase of 15 artworks created by Jaemy during the duration of the campaign (15 July - 18 September 2024)

“Wet Hot Spring Thing” is a composition of all the good “flow” and positivity brought forth by the Water Rabbit’s emergence this spring. Depicting a reimagined “pool party”, elements of inflatables, floats, and water slides give the overall feel of a fun-filled 2023. I really wanted the visuals to showcase a celebratory "vibe" to the space - something I really needed to do for myself after struggling with a chaotic 2022.
adidas Originals Pavilion Kuala Lumpur (2020)
It was an absolute privilege to be able to collaborate with adidas to create 2 massive art pieces for their new flagship store in Kuala Lumpur. The art works had to contain local-culture influences, tie back the adidas Originals brand, as well as something vibrant and strong that would catch any potential-shopper's eye from afar.

My design for this initiative with adidas was inspired by the traditional artform "Wayang Kulit", lots of pop-culture, and memories from my own childhood playing beat-em-up games on the computer till 3am.

A delightful collaboration with Samsung Malaysia that resulted in a series of "distorted" art pieces created specially for their holiday gifting and personalisation campaign for customers who purchased phones or were interested in changing up their mobile wallpapers for the festive season.
